Help The Bereaved!

Depression is not Easy!
Depression can be Deadly!

What can you do to help?

helping a friend who is depressed is not so simple but it can be. Little things matter when you are depressed.  Little things can help when you are feeling sad.

gestures can mean the World, words can change Everything, actions can seem so Big. So CARE….. it can be that simple. Lend a Hand.

7 simple ways of doing so is through Compliments, Being there, Checking up, Taking care, invitations, hugs, letting them be.

I don’t want to go in details because I really want you to read this article. It’s Great! It even came from a special source who was depressed.

I found that article and I felt like every word of it was what I needed ..

So take it Seriously….

Are You Wounded?

Wound…. You automatically think physical right?

Well no, not true.

Lets talk about abuse… When a child is abused at home, people automatically think physically.

Oh no, the child is getting physically abused… that is bad right? It is taken really seriously… If a woman is being physically abused by her partner, that is very serious and Police come when advised right?

What about Emotional Abuse? Not taken so seriously huh? You don’t see the Police taking a call serious if someone calls to say I am being emotionally abused. Ya… exactly.

Depression, we get over it right? It’s just a phase, it will pass…. These are many assumptions and statements about emotional pain. But, we must take it more seriously. Seriously!

If you feel that you are extremely sad or lonely, dont neglect it and heal it, seek help, seek hope. Do not allow yourself to feel that negativity because it WILL kill you. This is no joke. In fact, many do die from a broken heart, don’t be the next Broken heart, allow yourself to heal.

You must take the steps to take control of your emotions and fight them, seek help from others and don’t hold it in. Dont allow negative feelings to reside inside your heart, because most of the time, they are treatable, if you allow yourself to treat them.

I can ramble on and on about this topic because I have so many loved ones suffering through sadness, pain and hurt, but I want them all to feel better, know that I am here.

Remember, someone is there for you, don’t allow yourself to believe all the negativity that can live inside you.

Please take a few minutes and listen to Guy Winch as he describes to us all how to treat your heart.

Take care of your emotions, your minds, with the same diligence you take care of our bodies.

Are You Feeling Blue?

This is the season… This is the time… Darkness coming down early… Cold weather coming up… Not enough sunlight…s’s the time of the year when many of us get depressed.

Do you jut give in? What kind of person are you?

Let me show you what kind of person you can be…

Antidepressants … They say they work… But why not try something natural before going there, may be easier on your body and health. Some may also be wary about medications and avoid them to the point that it harms them so much because they avoid seeking help.

Take this advice… Don’t be scared to ask for help! Seek out those that love you, those you love, and seek more professional help too if you are in that zone for too long.

Depression, its nothing to be ashamed of, we all go there… You might just find out that your not the only one and your not alone in it… All you have to do is take that step.

P.S. here is something you probably never knew…. The way you stand… It can affect your mood. How? Check this out.

So I won’t repeat what you are about the see in the following article because I want you to read it and see for yourself. It’s an easy read and it’s very helpful.

Don’t be in Despair, be Aware!

Depression: risk in the womb

Studies have shown that depression starts at birth. It seems that an adolescent is more likely to suffer depression if the mother was depressed while pregnant. The child is 1.3 times more likely to go through depression at adolescence if the mother was depressed while pregnant with him or her.

Doctors therefore advise women to get treated before getting pregnant or if diagnosed after pregnant, to get treated as it is healthier for the child and the mother.

So if you find yourself depressed, get treated before and while pregnant because you are not only harming yourself your child’s future.

There seems to be a high association between diet sodas and depression. Sure it is not scientifically proven that this in fact is the sole and/or actual reason for the depression however the link between the two is there.

“A new study by the U.S. National Institutes of Health finds that fruit and soft drink drinkers are more likely to be diagnosed with depression than those who didn’t regularly drink sweetened beverages.”
