Raw Honey… A Natural Remedy!

Have you ever wondered why our ancestors were healthier? Well there are many reasons but one particular one is their natural remedies.

Raw honey… One of these.

Raw honey has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties and promoted body and digestive health. It is also a powerful antioxidant eliminates allergies and strengthens the immune system. Some also use raw honey to treat skin wounds and infections.

Raw honey is also very good for blood pressure , collesterole, respiratory conditions, as well as has a calming and pain relief remedy.

Now be aware that raw honey is very healthy but when you intake regular honey, it is no longer an effective natural remedy because when the honey is heated and pasteurized, the essential healing nutrients are destroyed and this honey is then similar to eating refined sugar, therefore no longer healthy.

So remember… Raw honey has many benefits, but it must not be mistaken with regular honey which is not so unhealthy but just lacks the minerals, enzymes and other vitamins needed to heal.

Enjoy your rawness and stay healthy!

Organic Milk: The Healthier Fat

Many organic foods are concerned to be illegitimate or their health effects are not as clear. Well organic milk is the contrary as studies show.

Eating organic milk helps you dodge some of the heart illnesses as it contains more omega 3 & less of the omega 6 which is also used for fried food resulting in more heart disease, diabetes and inflammation.

Omega 3 keeps you healthier and more nutritious.

”On average, organic milk contained 25 percent fewer of the omega-6 fatty acids … Organic milk was also 62 percent richer in the omega-3 fatty acids believed to be at least partly responsible for the healthful effects of eating fish, beans and many vegetables.” The Seattle Times

Another fact about milk is that due to high calories and fat and high levels of “bad” cholesterol associated with heart disease, it I’d discouraged to drink while milk.

So moral of the story is: drinking milk is good, but be particular in the type of milk you drink.

What I’ve heard is it consumes over a thousand calories and quite fattening. What do you do in this dilemma? Well most I can do is argue my way into it but we all know where that lead.

Popcorn is good for you.

Is it?

So we know that popcorn is in fact not an unhealthy snack when you make it yourself, however, what can you make of it when it is Movie Popcorn? Full of butter, added butter, and saturated fat. I won’t say any more, I will let you discover on your own. But know this. Popcorn is not bad for you, however, don’t expect a healthy snack in the movies, nothing is healthy in the movies, especially the popcorn. Don’t be fooled and don’t be stuck on your ideas.

Yogurt is Good for You

I have recently been told how good yogurt is for you, because it has the good bacteria, so I have been doing a little more research about yogurt to further understand why yogurt is so good for the body.

So it seems that when using antibiotics, for example, it is very much needed for someone to have yogurt on a daily basis. The reason for this is that antibiotics fight both good and bad bacteria, therefore, seeing as yogurt has good bacteria, it is essential to nutrition your body with good bacteria, “probiotics”.

This is not to say that all yogurt is good for you… Here is a website for guide to buying healthy yogurt:

P.S. when searching for yogurt, make sure it says that it contains “Live and Active Cultures”.

Watch this short clip to know more for what to look for in yogurt.
